How I Work
I offer an introductory session to see if psychotherapy with me is what you are looking for. This first session is an opportunity to clarify any thoughts you have about psychotherapy.
I am a Person-Centred psychotherapist, and chose to study to Masters level to offer an accomplished and high standard of therapy – the type of therapy I would wish to receive. I have immersed myself practically and theoretically in this approach, because I believe it provides the best foundation to foster warm, personalised and authentic relationships with my clients.
I strive to truly understand you, your world and all the shades of light and dark therein, as I believe that it is in this place of acceptance that we can begin to unravel some of our thoughts and feelings.
I see clients both long-term and short-term. For me, the most important aspect of how long the therapy relationship lasts, is that you are able to decide when to begin and end. Most clients start with 50 minute weekly sessions over six weeks when we then decide together for how much longer, if you so wish.
